Review the audit log
Use the audit log to see who changed what in your Gegsy admin and when, and filter the activity by person, category, or search.
Who is this article for?
- Account owners who want to track what their team changes across the admin and who made each change.
About the audit log
The audit log is a record of changes made across your Gegsy admin, and who made them. Each entry captures who did something, what they did, what it affected, and when — so you can keep an eye on team activity and trace any change back to the person who made it.
Before you begin
- Available on the Pro and Premium plans. See Gegsy pricing for plan details.
- Only the account owner can access this; it can't be granted to employees.
Open the audit log
Go to Account → Audit Log, or open it directly at https://app.gegsy.com/account/audit-log. The page is titled Activity log, with the description "A record of changes made across your admin, and who made them."
What the audit log records
Each entry is one logged change. The activity covers actions taken across the admin, including:
- Team — inviting, updating, reactivating, deactivating, or removing a team member, resending an invitation, and updating a member's page access.
- Settings — updates to settings sections (for example, Tips & Fees, Pickup, Delivery, Payment Methods).
- Menu — updates to a menu item.
- Coupons — updating, removing, or changing the status of a coupon.
- Customers — changing a customer's status (blocking or unblocking).
- Security — blocking or unblocking a phone number or address.
Read the activity table
The activity is shown in a table with these columns:
- When — the date and time the change was made, shown in your local time.
- Who — the name of the person who made the change, with a badge for their role: Owner, Employee, or Gegsy Admin.
- Action — what was done, in plain language (for example, "Updated page access" or "Changed a customer's status").
- Target — what the change affected, such as the team member, coupon, location, or settings section involved.
- Details — a short summary of what changed. The detail depends on the action — for example, which page access was granted or revoked, which fields were changed, whether a coupon was activated or deactivated, or the reason entered when a customer, phone number, or address was blocked.
Older activity loads in pages. Below the table, a count shows how many entries are loaded, and you can select Load more to bring in more.
Filter the activity
When there is activity to show, use the controls above the table to narrow it down:
- All people — filter by the role of the person who made the change: Owner, Employee, or Gegsy Admin.
- All categories — filter by the kind of change, such as Team, Settings, Menu, Coupons, Customers, or Security. This filter appears when more than one category is present in the loaded activity.
- Search who, action, target… — type to match by the person's name, the action, or the target.
When a filter is active, select Clear to reset all of them at once. The count below the table updates to show how many entries match (for example, "Showing 5 of 25 loaded"). If no entries match, you'll see "No entries match your filters."
If no activity has been recorded yet, the page shows "No activity recorded yet."
