Manage your billing
View your Gegsy subscription, download invoices, and update the card on file from Account → Billing using the secure Stripe billing portal.
Who is this article for?
- Gegsy merchants who want to review their subscription, find past invoices, or update the card that pays for Gegsy.
- Account owners, and any employee who has been granted the Billing permission.
About Billing
The Billing page is where you keep an eye on your Gegsy subscription. It shows your current plan and status, lists every invoice Gegsy has charged you, and lets you open a secure portal to update your card on file. Subscription billing and payment methods are handled by Stripe, Gegsy's billing provider.
Open it from Account → Billing (https://app.gegsy.com/account/billing).
Before you begin
- Billing is available on all plans.
- Access is controlled by the Billing permission. The account owner has it by default and can grant it to employees from the Team page.
- Changing your plan, locations, or pricing tier is a separate workflow — see Manage your plan (
manage-plan).
Review your current subscription
When you open Account → Billing, the My Subscription card at the top summarizes your active plan. It shows:
- Plan name — your current plan (for example, "Pro Plan"), with a status badge beside it (for example, Active or Trialing).
- Locations: — the number of locations included in your subscription.
- Current Billing Cycle: — the start and end dates of your current billing period.
- Trial Ends: — shown only while your subscription is in a trial, with the date your trial ends.
Two buttons appear under the card:
- Update Plan — opens Manage your plan (
manage-plan), where you can change plans, add or remove locations, and review pricing. - Manage Billing & Subscription — opens the secure Stripe billing portal in a new tab, where you can update your card, view payment details, and manage your subscription directly with the payment provider.
For current plan pricing, see gegsy.com/pricing.
Reactivate a canceled subscription
If your subscription has been canceled, the My Subscription card shows a warning that reads "Subscription canceled." with the note "Reactivate to continue service."
- Click Reactivate in the warning banner.
- Gegsy restores your most recent plan and locations. The button shows Reactivating... while it works.
- When it finishes, you'll see a Subscription reactivated confirmation.
If no payment method is on file, you'll be prompted that a Payment method required, and the Stripe billing portal opens so you can add a card before reactivating. Add your card, then try Reactivate again.
View your billing history and invoices
Your invoices appear in the Invoices table on the Billing page, below the subscription card. Each row lists:
- Date — when the invoice was created.
- Amount — the amount paid.
- Status — the invoice status (for example, Paid).
- Invoice — a View Invoice link that opens the full, hosted invoice in a new tab. Use this to view, download, or print a receipt.
The table shows 10 invoices per page; use the pagination controls to move through older invoices. If you don't have any invoices yet, you'll see "No invoices available."
The Billing History sub-page (Account → Billing → Billing History) is a companion view for this information; your invoice records are always available in the Invoices table described above.
Add or update a payment method
Payment methods are managed in the secure Stripe billing portal, so your card details are never stored in the Gegsy dashboard.
- On the Billing page, click Manage Billing & Subscription.
- The Stripe billing portal opens. From there, add a new card, set a default payment method, or update the card currently on file.
- Close the portal tab when you're done — your changes apply to future charges automatically.
You can also reach the portal during reactivation: if Gegsy detects that no card is on file when you try to reactivate, it opens the portal and prompts you to "Please add a payment method in the billing portal."
The Payment Methods sub-page (Account → Billing → Payment Methods) points to this same portal flow; the Manage Billing & Subscription button is the canonical way to add or change your card.
