Change your plan

Compare Gegsy plans, choose which locations are included, and upgrade, downgrade, or switch your subscription from Manage Plan.

Who is this article for?

  • Gegsy merchants who want to compare plans, change their subscription, or adjust how many locations their plan covers.

About changing your plan

Your Gegsy subscription is a plan tier plus the locations you choose to include. The Manage Plan page lets you compare the available plans side by side, pick which locations are covered, and switch tiers at any time. Gegsy plans are Free, Starter, Pro, and Premium — for current pricing, see gegsy.com/pricing. Billing is handled through Stripe.

To open it, go to Account → Billing → Manage Plan (https://app.gegsy.com/account/billing/manage-plan). Use Back to Billing in the top right to return to the Billing page at any time.

Before you begin

  • Anyone who can reach Billing can manage the plan; there's no separate permission to set.
  • You need at least one location and a valid subscription on file. If no payment method is set, you'll be prompted to add one in the billing portal.

Choose the locations to include

Your plan covers a set of locations, and that selection is part of what determines your cost. The Select Locations card at the top of the page lists every location, with each one's name and address.

  1. Check the box on each location you want your plan to cover.
  2. Use Select All to include every location at once, or clear it to deselect all.
  3. As you change the selection, locations you've just added are flagged Added and locations you've just removed are flagged Removed, so you can see exactly what will change before you confirm.

When your selection differs from what's currently billed, an Unsaved changes notice appears: "Location selections have changed. To apply updates, click a plan button below and proceed with the confirmation." Changing locations only takes effect after you pick a plan button and complete the confirmation step below — even if you're keeping the same plan.

Compare plans

Below the locations card, each plan is shown as its own card so you can compare them. Every card shows the plan name and description, its price per month, and the list of what's included, including any per-fee details. When a plan charges for additional locations, the card shows that rate "per additional location" under the price.

A few labels help you orient:

  • Most Popular highlights the recommended plan.
  • Current Plan marks the plan you're on now.
  • Legacy marks an older plan that's no longer offered to new merchants. If your current plan is a legacy plan, the card warns "Legacy plan — switching away is permanent," so only move off it when you're sure.

For the actual prices on each tier, always check gegsy.com/pricing.

Upgrade, downgrade, or switch

Each plan card has a button that describes what choosing it will do, based on the plan you're on:

  • Upgrade — moving to a higher-priced plan.
  • Downgrade — moving to a lower-priced plan.
  • Switch Plan — moving to a plan at the same base price.
  • Update Current Plan — keeping your current plan (use this to save a location change without switching tiers).
  • Update Locations — shown on your current plan when it's a legacy plan; applies your location changes.

To make a change:

  1. Adjust your location selection if needed.
  2. Click the button on the plan you want.
  3. Review the Confirm Changes dialog (next section) and confirm.

A plan card whose plan isn't available to you is disabled and can't be selected.

Confirm and apply your change

Choosing a plan opens the Confirm Changes dialog so you can review everything before anything bills:

  1. It states that you're about to update your subscription and names the plan — either "Plan will be updated to: [plan]" or, if you're keeping the same tier, "Current plan will remain the same: [plan]."
  2. Price Difference shows how your charge will change as a result (a + amount means an increase). If Gegsy can't calculate the difference, it says so instead of showing a number.
  3. Selected Locations lists the locations your plan will cover, each tagged (Added) or (Removed) where it changed. You must keep at least one location selected — if none are selected, you'll be asked to select at least one.
  4. Check I confirm and agree to update my subscription plan. The Confirm button stays disabled until this is checked and at least one location is selected.
  5. Click Confirm to apply, or Cancel to close without changing anything.

When the change goes through, you'll see a confirmation — Plan Updated for a tier change, or Locations Updated when you only changed locations. The page then reflects your new plan and location set. Your subscription is updated through Stripe; it can take a moment for the new plan to appear everywhere in the dashboard.

Reactivate a canceled subscription

If your subscription has been canceled, a warning appears at the top of the page: "Subscription canceled. Reactivate to continue service," with a Manage in Billing button. Reactivation reuses your current plan and your selected locations. If there's no payment method on file, you'll be prompted with "Payment method required" and sent to the billing portal to add one before reactivation can finish.
