Manage your account settings
Update your Gegsy profile name, phone number, and email address, and learn how the verified email-change flow works.
Who is this article for?
- Anyone signed in to Gegsy who wants to update their own profile details. Available on all plans — everyone with an account can manage their own settings.
About account settings
Account Settings is where you update your personal profile: your name, phone number, and the email address you sign in with. These details belong to you (the signed-in user), not to the business, so each person on the account manages their own.
To open it, go to Account → Account Settings at https://app.gegsy.com/account/profile.
At the top of the page you'll see a header with your business logo (or your initial if no logo is set), your name, and your current email. This header is read-only — it reflects the details you save below.
Update your profile information
The Profile Information card is where you edit your name and contact details ("Update your name and contact details.").
- Go to Account → Account Settings.
- Edit any of these fields:
- First Name — required.
- Last Name — required.
- Phone Number — pick your country from the dropdown on the left (this sets the country code), then type your number. It's formatted as you type.
- Click Save Changes.
A few things to know:
- Save Changes stays disabled until you actually change something, so you can't save an unchanged form.
- First and last name can't be left blank — you'll see "First and last name are required." if either is empty.
- If you scroll down while you have unsaved changes, a save bar appears fixed to the bottom of the screen with Save Changes and Cancel so you don't lose your edits. Cancel scrolls you back up to the form.
Change your email address
Your email is the address you sign in with, so changing it is a verified, two-step process. The Email field itself is read-only on the main form — use the Change link beside it.
- In the Profile Information card, click Change next to the Email field. The Change Email Address window opens.
- Enter your Current Password to confirm it's you.
- Enter your New Email Address.
- Click Send Verification.
Gegsy sends a verification link to the new address: "A verification link will be sent to your new email address. Your email will only be updated after you click the link."
- Open the email at your new address and click the verification link.
- Your email updates automatically once the link is verified. The window confirms with Email Updated, and you can click Done.
Notes on changing your email:
- The window will keep waiting while it checks for your verification ("Waiting for you to verify your new email address. Check your inbox and click the link."). You don't need to refresh.
- If you typed the wrong address, use Made a mistake? Try again to clear the form and start over.
- The new email must be different from your current one, and it can't already be in use on another account — Gegsy checks before sending the link.
- If your password is wrong, you'll see "Incorrect password. Please try again." If Gegsy asks you to "log out and log back in," do that and then try the change again.
- To close the window without changing anything, click Cancel.
Manage your password and billing
Password changes and plan or payment details aren't on this page. Reauthenticating to change your email uses your current password; if you've forgotten it, sign out and use the password-reset flow from the sign-in screen (see Reset your Gegsy password). For your subscription, payment methods, and invoices, open Account → Billing.
