Who is this article for?

• Gegsy merchants who want to invite other businesses to Gegsy and earn credit toward their subscription.
• Account owners who want to let an employee manage referrals.

About the Referral Program

The Referral Program lets you invite other businesses to Gegsy and earn a referral bonus toward your subscription when they sign up and start using the platform. You share a personal referral code and link; when a referred business signs up with it, pays their first invoice, and places at least one order, your bonus unlocks as account credit.

This is the business-to-business referral program — you referring other merchants to Gegsy. It's different from the customer loyalty referral program you set up on the Marketing → Loyalty page, which lets your own customers refer their friends to order from your store. This article covers only the merchant referral program.

To open it, go to Account → Referral Program, or visit https://app.gegsy.com/account/referrals.

Before you begin

• Available on all plans.
• Access is controlled by the Referral Program permission. Account owners have it by default and can grant it to an employee from Account → Team.
• Your account must be active or in trial to participate. If your subscription lapses, the page shows Referral program paused with a Manage billing button — your account must be active or in a trial to keep earning bonuses.
• The first time you open the page, you must accept the program terms before you can share your code or earn bonuses (see below).

Accept the referral terms

Before the program is unlocked, you'll see the Referral Program Terms. Read them, then:

1. Review the terms, which cover how bonuses are earned and applied:

• Referral bonuses are earned only when a referred business signs up with your code, pays their first invoice, and places at least one order.
• Bonuses are applied as account credit unless stated otherwise in program settings.
• Referral rewards apply to new signups only and may be revoked if fraud or abuse is detected.
• Gegsy may change program terms, payout amounts, or eligibility at any time.

2. Check I agree to the referral program terms and conditions.
3. Select Agree and continue.

Once accepted, the full referral dashboard appears each time you open the page.

Share your referral code and link

The Referral Code card holds your personal code and link to share with other businesses.

• Referral Code — your unique code. Select Copy to copy it. If it isn't ready yet, it shows Pending.
• Your referral link — a ready-made signup link with your code already attached. Select Copy Link to copy it, then send it to the business you're referring.

The card also spells out how a referral pays off: share your code, or ask the business to use your referral link during onboarding. A referred business signs up and pays for their first month of Gegsy, at least one order is placed in their app, and then the bonus unlocks and credit is applied to your Gegsy invoice.

Track your earnings

The Referral Wallet card at the top summarizes what you've earned and what's still in the pipeline:

• Total earned — your lifetime earnings from referrals.
• Pending bonuses — bonuses that release after the referred business's first payment and first order.
• Current referral bonus — the bonus you'll earn per new qualified referral.

Below the wallet, three quick stats track your referral activity:

• Total referrals — how many businesses you've referred.
• Completed signups — referrals that finished signing up, paid, and placed an order.
• Completion rate — the share of your referrals that completed.

Review your referred businesses

The Referred businesses table lists each business you've referred and where it stands. Use the Business name search box to filter the list, and the pager at the bottom to move through pages.

Each row shows:

• Business — the referred business's name.
• Signup date — when they signed up.
• Signup status — Completed, In progress, Invited, or Not moving forward.
• Paid subscription — Completed once they've paid, otherwise Pending.
• First order — Completed once an order is placed in their app, otherwise Pending.
• Bonus status — Paid, Earned, Pending, or Expired.
• Bonus Amount — the bonus tied to that referral.
• Paid date — when the bonus was paid out.

If you haven't referred anyone yet, you'll see No referrals yet with a Copy your referral link button to get started. As businesses sign up with your link, their status and bonus details appear here.
