Vol 17 · · App 2.6.1
Automatic promotions, nested modifiers, Square loyalty promotions, and more
Run deals that apply on their own, bring Square nested modifiers and photos to your menu, show Square loyalty promotions, let group order guests change their order, and more.
Run promotions that apply automatically
What changed: Create deals that apply on their own, with no code to enter. Discount an item's price, like 20% off drinks, or its add-ons, like two free toppings on Tuesdays. Choose the locations, ordering channels, schedule, and limits, and whether the deal can be combined with coupons. Customers see the sale price on the menu, on the item, and in the cart.
Why it matters: Happy hours, weekday specials, and add-on deals run themselves and are easy for customers to spot, which brings in more orders.
Access: Available on the Pro plan. In your Gegsy dashboard, go to Marketing → Promotions and select Add promotion, or select Create promotion on a modifier in Menu → Modifiers. Promotions apply to app and online orders, not your Square POS. Customers see deals on your online store and in your app (version 2.6.0 or later).

Show Square loyalty promotions and the points customers will earn
What changed: Double-points and bonus-points promotions you create in Square now appear on your online store and on your app's Loyalty screen, with the days and hours they run. The cart shows how many points the order will earn, promotions included. The Loyalty page in your dashboard also has a cleaner design.
Why it matters: Customers see the reason to order now, and points they can count on bring them back.
Access: Create a promotion in your Square Dashboard under Loyalty → Promotions. Then, in your Gegsy dashboard, go to Marketing → Loyalty and sync. Customers see promotions in your app on version 2.5.8 or later.

Choose what customers can use, plus order notes and delivery instructions
What changed: General Settings has new switches for what customers see on your online store and in your app: menu search, favorites, calories and dietary info, the coupon code field, order notes, reorder, birthday, app rating requests, open orders, and the I'm here, Confirm pickup, and Confirm delivery buttons. Customers can now leave a note for your store and delivery instructions for the driver, and both show on the order.
Why it matters: Your ordering experience works the way your business does, and your team and drivers get the details they need without a phone call.
Access: In your Gegsy dashboard, go to Settings → General Settings. Apple Pay, Google Pay, and saved cards are under Payments → Payment Methods. Customers see these changes in your app on version 2.6.0 or later.

Group order guests can change their order until it closes
What changed: Anyone in a group order can add, remove, or change items, or cancel their part, right up until the group order closes. Guests can also pay with store credit on pickup and in-house delivery group orders, and app customers can join by scanning the group order's QR code.
Why it matters: Organizers stop fielding "can you change my order?" messages, and guests order with confidence because they can fix a mistake themselves.
Access: Available on the Pro plan. Works automatically on your online store and in your app (version 2.6.1 or later).
