Group orders, coupons that redeem in Square, scheduled campaigns, and more

Let customers order together and pay their own way, accept the same coupon code online and at your Square POS, and schedule campaigns ahead of time.

Order together with group orders

Online orderingMobile appOrdersPro plan

What changed: Customers can start a group order, share a link, and let everyone add their own items before a deadline. The organizer chooses whether each person pays for their own share or one person pays for everyone, and it works for pickup and delivery. You can also start a group order yourself for a customer from the Gegsy dashboard and follow every session as it fills.

Why it matters: Office lunches and team orders land as one organized order instead of a dozen separate ones, and nobody has to chase coworkers for money afterward.

Access: Available on the Pro plan. In your Gegsy dashboard, go to Menu → Group Orders to turn it on, and Orders → Group Sessions to start and follow sessions. Customers see it on your online order page and in your app (version 2.1.0 or later).

One coupon code, online and at your Square POS

MarketingPaymentsOnline orderingMobile app

What changed: Turn on Also redeem in Square (POS and Square Online) on any coupon and the same code works on your Gegsy order page, in your app, at your Square POS, and on Square Online. Discount codes you create in Square can also be redeemed on your order page and in your app. Coupons you no longer need can now be archived and restored later.

Why it matters: One code works everywhere a customer shops with you, so promotions are simpler to run and customers don't hit a "code not valid" at the counter.

Access: In your Gegsy dashboard, go to Marketing → Coupons and open a coupon. If Square needs more permissions, the editor links you to Settings → Sync with Square. Customers redeem codes in your app on version 2.1.4 or later.

Plan campaigns ahead and write them faster

MarketingMobile appPro plan

What changed: The Campaigns editor has been rebuilt with a live preview. Pick a date and time to send, or set a campaign to repeat daily, weekly, or monthly. Choose an audience or hand-pick specific customers, use AI assist to draft a message from a short brief or rewrite it in a different tone, and watch progress as it sends, with the option to stop it midway.

Why it matters: You can line up a week of in-app notifications in one sitting and stop babysitting the send button.

Access: Available on the Pro plan. In your Gegsy dashboard, go to Marketing → Campaigns.

Sell eGift cards on your website

Online orderingLoyalty

What changed: Customers can now buy an eGift card on your online order page, the same way they can in your app. They pick an amount, add the recipient's details and a delivery date, and pay at checkout.

Why it matters: Gift card sales no longer depend on customers downloading your app first, which matters most around holidays.

Access: In your Gegsy dashboard, go to Marketing → Gift Cards and make sure gift cards are turned on. Customers find Buy Gift Card in the account menu on your order page.

Pre-select modifiers by variation

MenuOnline orderingMobile app

What changed: Set a default modifier for each item variation, and it's pre-selected when a customer picks that variation. Choose a 12 oz and the matching cup size or milk option is already filled in, for example.

Why it matters: Customers make fewer taps and fewer mistakes, and the kitchen gets orders that match how you actually serve each size.

Access: In your Gegsy dashboard, go to Menu → Modifiers, open a modifier list, and use Variation Defaults. Customers see defaults on your order page and in your app (version 2.1.5 or later).
