See your business name, contact details, currency, country, and time zone in Gegsy, and learn where to update them in Square.

About business information

Operations → Business shows the core details that identify your business across Gegsy: your business name, contact email and phone, currency, country, and time zone. These values come from Square and your primary location, so they stay consistent everywhere customers see them.

This page is read-only. Every field is informational so you can confirm what's on file at a glance. To change any of it, update the details in Square and the changes flow back here. As the page notes: Update company details directly in Square to reflect changes below.

Before you begin

  • This page is available on all plans.
  • Access is gated by the Business permission. Owners have it by default and can grant it to employees.
  • Your Gegsy account must be connected to Square, since these details are pulled from Square and your primary location.

Open the Business page

  1. In the dashboard, go to Operations → Business (https://app.gegsy.com/operations/business).
  2. The About My Business card loads with your current details. If your locations are still loading, you'll see a brief loading state first.

Review your business details

The About My Business card lists the following fields. Each is read-only:

  • Business Name — your company name as set in Square.
  • Email — the contact email for your primary location.
  • Phone Number — the contact phone for your primary location.
  • Currency — the currency your primary location transacts in (for example, USD).
  • Country — the country of your primary location.
  • Time Zone — the time zone of your primary location, which Gegsy uses to interpret your store hours and order times.

The email, phone, currency, country, and time zone are tied to your primary location. If you operate more than one location, this card reflects the one set as your main location.

Update your business information in Square

Because these fields are read-only in Gegsy, make any changes in Square:

  1. Update your business name, contact details, currency, country, or time zone in your Square account.
  2. Return to Gegsy. Once your data syncs from Square, the updated values appear on the About My Business card.

If a change doesn't appear right away, run a manual sync so Gegsy pulls the latest details from Square.
