Manage general settings

Use General Settings to control cross-cutting options for your customer-facing app and storefront, like which items show in a customer's My Account menu.

  • Gegsy merchants who want to turn shared customer-facing options on or off across their mobile app and storefront.
  • Owners and employees who have been granted the General Settings permission.

About general settings

General Settings holds cross-cutting toggles that shape what your customers see in the customer-facing mobile app and your online storefront. These are app-wide options — like which entries appear in a customer's account menu — rather than per-location or per-order settings. Changes apply to both surfaces at once.

Before you begin

  • General Settings is available on all plans.
  • Access is gated by the General Settings permission. Account owners have it by default and can grant it to employees. If you don't see Operations → General Settings, ask your account owner to grant you the permission.

Open General Settings

Open Operations → General Settings (https://app.gegsy.com/operations/general-settings). Adjust any toggle, then choose Save. If you scroll past the inline Save button while you have unsaved changes, a save bar appears at the bottom of the screen so you can save without scrolling back up.

Customer Account Menu

Choose which items appear inside the customer's My Account section in the storefront and mobile app.

This card controls which entries show in the customer's My Account menu. The menu is the same in both the storefront and the mobile app, so each toggle affects both surfaces.

  • Show "Contact Us" — turns the Contact Us entry in the customer's My Account menu on or off. When off, the Contact Us entry is hidden from the customer's My Account menu in both surfaces. Turn it on to give customers a way to reach you from their account; turn it off if you prefer to keep that entry hidden.

After changing a toggle, choose Save to apply it.
