Add location details

Who is this article for?

• Gegsy merchants who want to share a location's guest Wi-Fi and bathroom code with customers in their app and storefront.

About the Other Details tab

The Other Details tab is where you store the extra, location-specific information customers often ask for in person — your guest Wi-Fi and your bathroom code. Each is optional and has its own switch, so you stay in control of what's shared. When you turn a section on, the details you enter appear to customers for that location in your app and storefront; when it's off, nothing is shown.

You set these per location, so a customer always sees the right Wi-Fi and code for the store they're visiting.

Before you begin

• The Other Details tab is available on all plans.
• Access is controlled by the Locations permission. Account owners have it by default and can grant it to employees from Account → Team.

Open the Other Details tab

1. Go to Locations in the dashboard, or visit https://app.gegsy.com/locations.
2. Find the location you want to update and select Edit (the pencil icon) in its Action column.
3. In the location's settings, open the Other Details tab.

Share your guest Wi-Fi

The first section is Wi-Fi Details.

1. Turn on Share Wi-Fi info with customers. The Wi-Fi fields stay locked until this switch is on.
2. In Network name (SSID), enter the name of the network customers should join — for example, GuestWiFi.
3. In Password, enter the password for that network — for example, your network password.
4. In Wi-Fi policy or notes, add anything customers should know, such as time limits or acceptable-use notes. This field accepts up to 160 characters, and a counter below it shows how many you've used.

When Share Wi-Fi info with customers is on, both Network name (SSID) and Password are required — you'll be asked to fill them in before you can save. Leave the switch off if you'd rather not publish your Wi-Fi at this location.

Share your bathroom code

The second section is Bathroom Access.

1. Turn on Share bathroom code. The code field stays locked until this switch is on.
2. In Bathroom code, enter the code customers use to unlock the bathroom — for example, 1234.

When Share bathroom code is on, the Bathroom code is required before you can save. Turn the switch off to stop showing the code to customers.

Save your changes

Select Save changes at the bottom of the editor to publish what you've entered. If anything still needs attention — a missing required field, or notes over the 160-character limit — the field is highlighted with a short message telling you what to fix, and the editor lets you know there's something to correct in the Other Details section.
