Track orders in real time with Live Orders

Who is this article for?

  • Gegsy merchants who want to monitor and work through orders in real time as they come in during service.

About Live Orders

Live Orders is a real-time view of your incoming and in-progress orders, designed to stay open during service. New orders appear automatically, with an optional sound alert and on-screen notifications so your team never misses one.

To open it, go to Orders → Live Orders.

The Live Orders screen

Along the top you'll find:

  • A location filter (for example, All Locations) to focus on a single location.
  • A LIVE indicator showing the feed is connected and updating in real time.
  • A sound toggle to turn audible new-order alerts on or off.
  • Display mode — a full-screen view of the order queue, useful on a dedicated kitchen or counter screen.

The screen is split into two panels: the order queue on the left and the selected order's details on the right.

Work the order queue

On the left, switch between three tabs (each showing a count):

  • Active — orders currently in progress.
  • Scheduled — orders placed for a later time.
  • Completed — orders you've finished.

Use the All / Delivery / Pickup filters to focus on a fulfillment type. Each order card shows the order number, type, location, customer, a summary of items, the status, the total, and how long ago it came in. Select a card to open it on the right.

Review the selected order

The right panel shows the selected order's number, type, location, and customer, along with its Status and a progress tracker. The tracker's stages depend on the fulfillment type:

  • Pickup: Confirmed → Preparing → Ready → Picked up
  • Delivery: Confirmed → Driver assigned → Out for delivery → Arrived → Delivered

For a delivery order, you'll also see the delivery address, an estimated time of arrival (ETA), and a live map that tracks the courier (for example, a DoorDash driver) from your location to the customer. Select Open courier tracking page to open the courier's own tracking page.

The panel lists the order's items with prices and a Tax / Tip / Total summary. Select View order details to open the full order page.
