Vol 10 · · App 2.3.5

SEO details, a light logo and favicon, a faster website, and more

Tell search engines more about your business, polish your brand on the web, enjoy a faster website, and bring combos and Smart Upsells to your app.

Tell search engines more about your business

WebsitePro plan

What changed: A new SEO page lets you add a business description, cuisine type, price range, year established, and your Google Business Profile link. Gegsy turns these details, along with your full menu, into the structured data search engines read. If you use a custom domain, your gegsy.app address now sends visitors and search engines there, so your ranking builds in one place.

Why it matters: Search engines understand who you are and what you serve, which helps your website show richer results when nearby customers search.

Access: Available on the Pro plan. In your Gegsy dashboard, go to Storefront → SEO.

Put your brand on every page, down to the browser tab

WebsitePro plan

What changed: Upload a light version of your logo, and the designer picks the right one for each header and footer background automatically. Set your website's button colors directly, separate from your color palette. Add a favicon so your browser tab shows your brand, or let it fall back to your logo.

Why it matters: Your logo stays readable on dark sections, buttons match your brand exactly, and your site looks finished in every browser tab.

Access: Available on the Pro plan. In your Gegsy dashboard, go to Storefront → Designer and open the Logo and Buttons tabs.

A faster website and order page

WebsiteOnline ordering

What changed: Your website and online ordering page now load their content from the server, so menus and hero images appear sooner, especially on phones.

Why it matters: Faster pages keep more visitors around long enough to order, and speed helps how search engines rank your site.

Access: Automatic on every storefront. Nothing to set up.

Combos and Smart Upsells come to your app

Mobile appMenu

What changed: Customers can now order your Square combos in your app, choosing each part of the meal just like on your online ordering page. Pro merchants with Smart Upsells turned on now see those recommendations in the app's cart too.

Why it matters: Your meal deals and best add-ons sell everywhere customers order.

Access: Customers see combos in your app (version 2.3.5 or later). Smart Upsells is available on the Pro plan; turn it on from Items in your Gegsy dashboard.

Show promoted items in two columns

Mobile app

What changed: Choose between a single carousel or a two-column grid for promoted items on your app's home screen, with a live preview as you decide.

Why it matters: A grid shows more of your featured dishes at a glance, so customers see what you want them to order.

Access: In your Gegsy dashboard, go to Design Studio, open Home, and choose a Promoted items layout. Customers see it in your app (version 2.3.5 or later).

Let customers browse before you open

Online ordering

What changed: If you only take same-day orders, customers who visit your online ordering page while you're closed can now pick your next open day and browse the full menu. Adding to the cart opens up once you're open.

Why it matters: Visitors who arrive early see what you serve instead of a dead end, and come back ready to order.

Access: Automatic for locations that take same-day orders only. Customers see it on your online ordering page, matching your app.
