Vol 11 · · App 2.4.2
Media library, custom HTML sections, image alt text, and more
Keep every image and video in one place, build richer website pages, describe your images for screen readers, and control item notes.
Every image and video in one place
What changed: The new Media page collects every image and video you upload for your website, banners, posts, gift cards, and app branding. Search and filter by where a file is used, upload directly, reuse files from the library when you build a page, and safely delete what you no longer need.
Why it matters: You stop uploading the same photo five times, and you can clean up unused files without breaking a page that still uses them.
Access: In your Gegsy dashboard, go to Media.

Build richer website pages
What changed: Add a Custom HTML section to any page, with its own spacing and background. Hide the header or footer on a single page, choose how each image fills its frame, and set font size and family right in the text editor.
Why it matters: Embed a reservation widget or a landing page layout without leaving Gegsy, and make every page look the way you pictured it.
Access: Available on the Pro plan. In your Gegsy dashboard, go to Storefront → Designer.

Describe your images for every customer
What changed: When you upload an image, you add a short description of it. Your website reads these descriptions to screen readers, and your app announces banner images the same way. The Media page flags any image that's still missing one.
Why it matters: Customers who use screen readers can follow your menu and promotions, and descriptive images help search engines understand your site.
Access: You're asked for a description whenever you upload an image in your Gegsy dashboard. Customers using screen readers hear it on your website and in your app (version 2.4.1 or later).

Choose whether customers can add item notes
What changed: A new setting controls whether customers can add a note or special instructions to an item. Turn it off and the note field disappears from your online ordering page and your app.
Why it matters: If your kitchen can't honor custom requests, customers aren't invited to make them, and there are fewer surprises at pickup.
Access: In your Gegsy dashboard, go to General Settings, then Item Page, and set Allow item notes. Customers see the change on your online ordering page and in your app (version 2.4.0 or later).
