Add, name, reorder, and remove up to five custom links in your Gegsy mobile app's drawer menu, including web pages and app store listings.
Who is this article for?
- Gegsy merchants who want to add custom links to the drawer menu in their mobile app.
- Owners and employees who have the Links permission.
About mobile app links
Mobile app links let you add custom shortcuts to the drawer that appears in the main view of your app. Each link has a Name that your customers see and a URL that opens when they tap it. You can add up to five links and arrange them in any order.
Use these links for anything you want close at hand inside the app, such as your website, a loyalty or rewards page, a menu PDF, a reservations page, a survey, or your app's listing on the App Store or Google Play.
Before you begin
- Mobile app links are available on all plans.
- Access is gated by the Links permission. Account owners have it by default and can grant it to employees from Account → Team.
- Have the full destination URLs ready. Every link must start with
http://orhttps://.
Open the Links page
- Go to Mobile App → Links, or open
https://app.gegsy.com/mobile-app/linksdirectly. - You'll see the Manage links card with the note: Add up to five links to the drawer that appears in the main view of the app.
- Existing links appear as rows in the table, each with a drag handle, a Name field, a URL field, and a Remove button.
Add a link
- On the Manage links card, select Add Link.
- In the new row, enter the link's Name — this is the label customers tap in the drawer.
- In the URL field, enter the full destination starting with
https://(for example,https://mybusinessname.com/rewards). - Repeat for any other links, up to a maximum of five. Once you reach five links, the Add Link button is disabled.
- Select Submit to save.
What kinds of links can I add?
The URL field accepts any web address that starts with http:// or https://, so you can point a link at:
- A web page — your website, a loyalty or rewards page, an online menu, a reservations or booking page, a survey, or a promotion (for example,
https://mybusinessname.com). - An app store listing — your app's page on the Apple App Store or on Google Play (for example,
https://apps.apple.com/app/idXXXXXXXXXorhttps://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.example.app). This is a quick way to invite customers to rate or share your app. - A deep link — a link that opens a specific destination. Provide the full
https://deep link or universal link for the destination you want to open.
Use complete, public URLs and test each one in a browser first to confirm it opens the right place.
Reorder your links
The links appear in the drawer in the same order they're listed on this page.
- Point to the drag handle at the start of a link's row.
- Drag the row up or down to the position you want, then release.
- When you change the order, a notice appears: The link order has been changed. Please press "Submit" to save your changes.
- Select Submit to save the new order.
Edit or remove a link
- To edit a link, change its Name or URL directly in the row, then select Submit.
- To remove a link, select Remove on its row, then select Submit to save.
Saving and validation
When you select Submit, Gegsy checks each link before saving:
- URL is required if Name is provided. — you entered a name but left the URL empty.
- Name is required if URL is provided. — you entered a URL but left the name empty.
- Name is required. — the name field can't be blank.
- URL must start with http:// or https://. — fix the address so it begins with
http://orhttps://.

After saving, your links appear in the drawer in the main view of your app. Changes take effect the next time the app loads your settings.
