Update a customer's status

- Gegsy merchants who want to mark a customer as active or inactive — for example, to flag a customer for fraud or repeated issues.
About customer status
Every customer in your directory has a status — Active or Inactive. Marking a customer Inactive lets you flag a problem customer and record why (for example, fraud or disputed transactions). You can change a customer's status at any time from their profile.
Update a customer's status
- Go to Customers → Customers and select the customer you want to update.
- On the Customer Details page, select Update Status at the top of the Customer Profile card.
- In the Update Customer Status dialog, choose a Status:
- Active — the customer's normal, default status.
- Inactive — flags the customer as inactive.
- If you set the status to Inactive, choose a Reason:
- Fraud
- Too Many Returns
- Disputed Transactions
- Other
- Select Update to save your change, or Cancel to discard it.
The customer's status badge updates on their profile and in the customer directory.
